Blog Hop!

It's Blog Hop time again! This time the challenge was to create a layout with a fall theme. Here's what I came up with. I created the scalloped circle out of 1 inch circles, added some stitching and a couple of great pictures taken this year. It's definitely one of my favorites! Now hop on over to Crystal's blog!

Fall Photo Shoot

It was a nice fall morning, so we took some pictures outside. I love walking out our back gate and into this anytime I want!

I made it!

Since the weather was getting cooler, I got out my crochet hook and made this poncho. I think it turned out pretty cute!

Creepy Crawlies

Anytime we step out the door, we generally find some sort of critter living close by. A couple days ago, it was a caterpillar, which we believe to be a luna moth.

Camryn is very excited to be keeping a caterpillar and hopefully to see it turn into a moth.

And today we found a frog. I was surprised to see it clinging to our deck, undiscovered by the "playful" dog. We gave it a wagon ride along with all the stuffed animals.

When it came time to set him free, Camryn was pretty reluctant, but I wasn't ready to be a fly catcher quite yet. I have enough picky eaters!

Blog Hop!

The Blog Hop challenge was to use a stamp. Here's my Layout.

I used my personalized stamp that I had made when I opened an etsy store. Although I haven't had the time to make anything for the store lately, I'm proud that I actually got the account opened and joined the network of people who buy and sell handmade things.

This is a close up of the title I made for a swap. I hand crocheted the little flower on it.

And the journaling which is hidden again, you can see why, lol.

Artist

I am just amazed at how detailed Camryn's drawings have gotten lately. It was literally 2 months ago that she only knew how to draw circles and lines, and now this...
According to her it's me holding my purse in my right hand and a baseball glove in the left. The gigantic round thing to the right is Daddy's baseball glove.

Last week it was all about drawing Daddy. Here's one for the fridge...
You can see that he's wearing glasses, and the stuff in his tummy is "all the candy that he ate." She wasn't into drawing arms until just yesterday, so I don't feel too bad that I wasn't her first muse.

Backyard Beauties

This butterfly came to visit us every day for a couple weeks. It loved this bush with orange flowers.

This one also came almost every day. Camryn loved chasing them around.

And here's another beauty often found in the backyard. It was so humid and hot that her hair would stick to her head after a few minutes, but the mosquitoes were so bad that we had to wear long pants or get eaten alive!
